Our nation is crumbling. We have no love or joy left in it. We only have hatred and divisive beliefs that pit parents against children, friend against friend, neighbor against neighbor.

Martin Luther King, Jr. shared, “Power, properly understood, is the ability to achieve purpose. It is the strength required to bring about social, political, or economic changes. In this sense power is not only desirable but necessary in order to implement the demands of love and justice. One of the greatest problems of history is that the concepts of love and power are usually contrasted as polar opposites. Love is identified with a resignation of power and power with a denial of love. What is needed is a realization that power without love is reckless and abusive and that love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice. Justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love.”
Love is the greatest commandment that God gave us. Love one another. Not “despise one another.” Not “wish each other dead.” Not “criticize one another.”
Love. One. Another.
One way to do that and bring JOY to others and not despair is by serving others. By helping those around us, we outwardly reflect God’s love and find power and fulfillment. Regardless of whether we receive credit or recognition or not, our biggest responsibility in life is to share God’s love with one another.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
Friend, use your God-given gifts and talents today to share God’s love by serving others in your daily life. It could be as simple as lending a listening ear to a friend, volunteering at your child’s school (anyone else a PTA mom?), or offering to help a colleague or neighbor.
The way to healing this broken world is through loving others well always. Through doing so, we ignite power in ourselves and others to do the same.
Our world desperately needs more love, joy, and unity. Today, let’s be the change we want to see. Share a moment of kindness, lend a helping hand, and reflect God’s love in every action. Together, we can heal our nation. ❤️ #LoveOneAnother #ServeOthers #BeTheChange
